Website Design – Some basics of a quality web site design « web site

Today I will talk about some things to do and not do the design of the website. As a designer located in NH, this is a topic I feel passionately. So please bear with me if I start on a short hike. I want to stock as many useful web site design (information as possible without boring you) to death, but if it could be on the design of websites, talking for hours.

So we begin …

To begin, I think the design of your website should reflect your personal or corporatePhilosophy, your values, and the overall look and feel "is you and your company (or whoever you want to be)

When people see your site the first time, they go to get an immediate idea of you and your business … Do you want to see them?

Take my site later, for example (you can check it out by clicking the link at the end of this article) … When I designed this site, I wanted it to be simple, fresh and elegant. The background is blackAuthority. And it also takes away some of the burden for them, you can watch the message of a bright white monitors in an attempt to read what is in front of you.

What values should be ..? The values of authority, or someone who knows what they are doing. It also shows my concern for your well-being (reduced eye strain while you're reading)

Then I wanted to read stuff more fun, so I added some flash banners for your pages.

What is the philosophybehind ..? To give you quality of information, the words you're reading, but not bore you with nothing to designing static websites more than words on the page.

Finally, I have the main navigation links in the same place on both sides (left side of the page) This is the way you know exactly where to find the shortcuts, no matter which side you're on.
